Prettyfly Nets for wide-brimmed hats and akubras!

We've sewn soft tulle netting to a black elastic band, with a grosgrain ribbon trim.

This softer netting is more voluminous than our 'fitness' style and best for draping over wide-brimmed hats.

The PRETTYFLY branded bow is attached with a brooch pin so can be repositioned or removed to suit your own style.

The elasticised base is easily lifted up over your face to sip those summer G&T's to your heart's content.

And, most importantly, these fly nets keep the flies off your face!

Our fly nets are handmade in Western Australia.

**We have some Navy nets available with smaller headbands than our regular size. The circumference is 56cm when comfortably stretched. Measure the outside of your hat and see if they could work for you!

Designed for wide brim hats and akubras

Important note on colour selection: whilst the Blush Pink and Lavender colours are by far our prettiest design, being so pale means they reflect bright sunlight, so you might battle with a bit of glare / reduced visibility. If this worries you, go for Black or Navy. Alas, it's the necessary trade-off for looking so dang pretty in pink!

All Prettyfly nets come with a drawstring anti-snag bag. Cute as.

Visibility: All colours of netting have great visibility, but the darker colours (black and navy) are particularly good if that is your priority.

Fit: We think we have come up with a design that comfortably fits most adults whilst also achieving maximum fly-defence. The circumference around the neck is around 50cm unstretched (adult size). Take a moment to position the base of the net flat against your t-shirt before setting off.

Fire safety: The tulle is nylon so caution must be used. No campfires or birthday candles.

Care: Your fly net can be hand-washed and it loves to have its wrinkles steamed! (or a very low iron if need be). All Prettyfly nets come with a 'repair kit' in case of snags or tears.

Pretty fly nets

We love our pretty fly nets. My children and I wear them on the farm and in the garden. Have even bought some as Christmas presents.

Sanity saver!

I wore this pulling fireweed in my horses paddock today.
Though I’d better give her a chance to see me it in before I ride in it!
It’s fits over my helmet with its extra “Sunbrim” perfectly!
I think it will stay off my face a little better in a collared shirt also.

The best fly net available!

I've been using my Prettyfly net since last spring in Vermont (USA), and it has saved my sanity. New England can get extremely buggy as soon as it gets warm -- admittedly, not quite as buggy as some of the videos I've seen of Australia -- and the flies and mozzies go straight for eyes, ears, and nostrils. This net has been a lifesaver, allowing me to enjoy taking the dogs out in the yard at any time of day, going on hikes through wetlands, and frankly looking brilliant as I do. The navy color is excellent to see through, so I almost don't notice it's there. I'm not much for bows, so I was grateful the branded ribbon was simply detachable, but I still tell everyone about Prettyfly nets so I can support the company. Also impressive, it has held up so well with zero snags or holes, despite using it on an old straw hat multiple times of day during the buggy season. I will need to buy another for my husband soon!

Great net for broad brimmed hats

I've found it really hard to find a fly veil big enough for an Akubra. This one fits easily and I can highly recommend it for wide brimmed hats.

Feminine and functional

Just love this pretty fly net. Keeps the flies at bay while I tend to farm work. Fits over my Akubra really well and the bow pin keeps it firmly in place for our windy days. Very well made and I have received lots of positive comments. Think I'll get a floral one next.

Perfect protection

I got the navy net and can see through it perfectly. It's light, and big enough to give breathing space over a wide-brimmed hat. The elastic works really well, it doesn't slide around like other fly veils. Glad I found it.

Pretty & Practical

Absolutely love my Pretty Fly net! I was starting to dread taking my dog for a walk as I was constantly under attack from sticky little flies. Now they don’t bother me at all! My kids tell me I even look stylish when I wear it! Can’t recommend these enough…you’ve saved my sanity! 💕

Flies be gone!

Super fantastic for keeping the flies away from your face and looking great while doing it. The pale pink looks lovely but visibility is a bit hindered (bit hard to see your phone screen or dead head roses if you also have sunnies on) but I think a black net will be better for this!

So glad I made this purchase! I don't want to be outside without my flynet now!
